S. E. Ward lives in Oklahoma and sets her stories everywhere else. When not writing, she knits, reads, designs websites that never get finished, watches Dr. Who with her English Import, and wrangles two cats named Baby and Aldous. If you are in the Tulsa area, she appreciates sushi, Thai and Indian foods, vegetarian or pescetarian items of all sorts, and Sam Adams's Black Lager. (No coffee, tea, or chocolate please. Yes, I know I'm insane.) Every Conestoga, look for the Bondage Witch Hat.

Baby Ward is a furry tabby diva in the fourteen pound range. She's a Maine Coon mix, so fourteen pounds is actually pretty svelte. S. E. is fairly certain there's a cat somewhere amidst all that fur and attitude.

Aldous Huxley Ward is twenty pounds of love and stupid. He is a monstrous, sleek, surprisingly slender black cat, and enjoys stepping on bladders in the middle of the night. He makes up for it by squeaking and stinking.

English Import Ward, aka Stu, puts up with S. E.'s writing habit far more than is probably called for, and for this S. E. is very grateful. His hobbies include EverQuest, reading, and hacking his way through a forest's worth of yarn.
